Summary | The technological approach of this project was to develop a well improved particulate filter system specifically designed and integrated for the needs of the heavy-duty application and to evaluate its combination with the EGR. It comprised a well-modified engine with appropriate exhaust gas re-circulation and improved injection / combustion and boosting characteristics for lowering NOx together with a significantly improved DPF technology to reduce the PM. |
