Dr. Dimitrios A. Dimitrakis (ResearcherID: I-6338-2018) is a member of APTL since 2011, currently positioned as an Affiliated Researcher at APTL/CERTH. He received his Diploma in Chemical Engineering in 2009 from the School of Chemical Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and he holds a PhD (2017) for the same School under the supervision of Prof. A.G. Konstandopoulos with excellence and distinction. His expertise includes experimental (reactor engineering) as well as theoretical (density functional theory and multiscale simulation) techniques. His research activities are based on solar fuel technologies (solar-thermochemical reactors for solar fuels production based on redox materials for water and carbon dioxide splitting) and prototyping/pilot plant design and construction (including APTL’s 66 kW solar simulator facility and APTL’s 50kWth solar furnace facility).
